How To Make Fried Goat's Cheese With Tomato
- Serves:
- 4 people
- Preparation Time:
- 10 minutes
- Cooking Time:
- 15 minutes
- Total Time:
- 25 minutes
Step 1: Bread the goats cheese
- 300 g goat cheese, cut into 4
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 150 g bread crumbs
- 50 g flour
- 500 ml vegetable oil
- 4 large tomatoes
- 3 tbsp roasted pine nuts
- 1 bunch of rocket
- 3 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- 80 ml olive oil
- 5 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- salt and pepper
- 1 chopping board
- 1 knife
- 4 bowls
- 2 trays
- 1 saucepan
- 1 slotted spoon
- 1 spoon
- kitchen paper
Once again, place the cheese in the egg again and, finally, in the bread crumbs so that the cheese is well covered. Repeat with all four pieces.
Step 2: Cut the tomatoes
Cut off and discard the tops of the tomatoes and then chop each one into thick slices.
Step 3: Make the vinaigrette
Into a bowl, add the balsamic vinegar, honey and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add the chopped basil and the pine nuts and mix together.
Step 4: Dress the tomatoes
Place a few spoonfuls of the vinaigrette dressing onto the chopped tomatoes and turn them to cover.
Step 5: Fry the cheese
Pour the vegetable oil into the saucepan and heat until very hot. Once the oil is hot, carefully place a piece of the breaded cheese into the saucepan. Fry for 45 seconds or until golden brown and remove from the oil. Place on a piece of kitchen roll to remove the excess oil. Repeat with all 4 pieces of cheese.
Step 6: Finish the dish
Place one slice of tomato on top of another, position a piece of cheese on top and add another slice of tomato on the cheese. Add some rocket to garnish, drizzle with some more dressing and serve.
