Excellent and easy. I used brown sugar. Fresh ginger would be good to.

Nice recipe, but I would definitely lose the sugar (most carrot varieties are sweet enough already) and replace with a splash of white wine to cut through the sweetness. Also try with thyme rather than or as well as the parsley.

Amazingly simple and very tasty, I tried this today and my husband loved it..

Also try: parsnips, strips of turnip, swede and also (a favourite of mine) sweet potato. In addition to the sugar, try a cap full of "Southern Comfort"..Nice!!!!

Really good... I added a bit of liquor (rice wine) before the water and let it burn off, and it was delicious.
