How To Make Glazed Carrots

Glazed Carrots Recipe. An ideal accompaniment for a wide selection of main courses. Try our Glazed Carrots Recipe.

You Will Need

  • 250 g carrots, peeled
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Parsley to garnish
  • 75 (2 ½) ml water
  • 1 chopping board.
  • 1 sharp knife.
  • 1 frying pan.
  • 1 spoon

Step 1:

Chop the carrots

Cut the carrots in half and then in half again to make thin fingers.

Step 2:

Melt the butter and add the carrots

Over a moderate heat, melt the butter in the saucepan and add the carrots.

Stir while cooking to give the carrots an even coating of butter.

Step 3:

Season

Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Step 4:

Add the sugar

Sprinkle the sugar over the carrots.

Step 5:

Cook until golden and add the water

Stir occasionally until the carrots turn golden, add the water and leave to cook.

Step 6:

Check the carrots and add the parsley

When the water has evaporated, the carrots should be done. Here, also add the parsley.

Step 7:

Serve

Serve while hot with the main dish of your choice.

When printed out none of the ingrediants (in blue on screen) were printed onto the paper. Why is that?
