Summer Kitchen shows you a great simple idea for a summery dessert cooked on the barbecue.
The recipe for grilled fruit skewers is both festive and delicious. First, soak the skewers in cold water for 30 minutes. Then prepare a charcoal grill to medium heat.
Peel and seed two mangoes. Then, peel and seed half of a large papaya. Now, peel and core half of a pineapple and cut into relatively even pieces.
Thread the fruit onto the prepared skewers, starting with the pre-washed strawberries, the pineapple, papaya and mango. Continue alternating among the four. Grill the fruit, turning if necessary, cooking for about 6-8 minutes in total - it will depend on the ripeness of the fruit.
