How To Make Homemade Pancakes
Whether it is on Pancake Day, or any other day of the year, everyone loves a good pancake with lemon and sugar! Learn to make them with Paul Ellis, cookery instructor and cookery school owner.

Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 140 ml milk
- 60 g flour
- vanilla essence
- sugar
- lemon juice
- butter
Method
Whisk the egg, the milk, the vanilla essence, the flour, and a pinch of sugar in a bowl until you have a smooth consistency with no lumps.
Heat a greased frying pan until it is hot, then pour in some of the mixture. Tip the pan in all directions to spread the pancake out.
Once the pancake has browned on one side, release it with a spatula, then turn it over.
Sprinkle over some sugar and lemon juice, fold over the pancake, then add a little butter to the pan and let the pancake brown in it a little.
