I'm going to show you how to make some homemade pancakes - very simple recipe. I've got some plain flower, I've got some eggs, add a bit of sugar to it - I'm going to add some of vanilla as well. So, basically what we're going to do, as a rule as measurement goes, every pint of milk I put in about three eggs.

So, I'm going to go with a pure estimation here. I need 1 pancake so I've got 1 egg there. I've got my milk, just about a quarter of a pint.

Now, in my pancakes, I'm going to put in a bit of vanilla, to add a bit of taste, but you can keep it simple if you don't want that. Now a little bit of sugar, not to much to burn the pan. I've got eggs, milk, a little bit of vanilla and sugar.

In goes the flour, I'm going to mix that through. Now while I'm doing this I've got my pan on the stove now, getting really, really nice and hot. I'm getting that mixed through.

All the flour through the milk. Now, the pan is nice and hot, ready for my pancake to be cooked. So the consistency we're looking for here is a nice battery type.

You don't want it too thick and you don't want it to thin. You've got to make it just right for your pancake just to slide on that pan. The pan is nice and hot here, ready for our mixture to go into the pan.

Just swirl that batter around the pan nice and evenly. Absolutely, really nice. See, we haven't got a mixture there that is too runny and it's not too heavy.

So, we're going to get it just right to get a nice perfect pancake. I'm going to let that sear a bit, color up nicely. You don't want it too hot and you don't want it too cold.

You've got to get your pan just right. So just flip it up a bit now, it's got a nice little brown golden color. So if we could just get our little spatula underneath there, there it is.

Beautiful. Little tip here, if you want to put some sugar, a nice bit of jam on there, a nice bit of lemon juice it would be absolutely fantastic. It would be the time to do it and I'm going to do that.

I'm going to quickly show you. Get some sugar on the pancake there, very nice. Get some nice fresh lemon, absolutely fantastic.

That will absorb in the pancake. Turn it over. My little trick here, what I'm going to do here is add a little butter, now the butter is going to add a little color to it, add a little flavor as well.

So we're going to get that over there. We've got a nice flavored, buttery pancake. A bit more sugar, a bit more lemon.

Absolutely fantastic. That's very nice. Nice and golden color.

Just turn it over. And here we have a beautiful pancake. And that is how I make my homemade pancakes.
