How To Make Honey Glazed Chicken
A delicious recipe for chicken breasts baked with a honey, ginger and lemon glaze.
I'm going to make honey glazed chicken and in the sauce I've got soy sauce and some ginger and some lemon. For this recipe I'm using chicken breasts, with skin on. They give much more flavour to the chicken.
If you don't want to eat the skin, you can just peel it off at the end.
The first thing I'm going to do is take my ginger, it's very important to make sure it's fresh because otherwise ginger becomes very woody. So you want to peel your ginger.
Get a grater and then you can grate your teaspoon then, to go into the sauce. I'm going to take my lemon, if the lemon has been in the fridge and it needs to be warmed through, best thing to do to create more juice, is just to take the lemon and cook it in the microwave for a few minutes, and then juice it.
I'm going to combine the soy and the lemon and the honey.
I'm going to put that with the ginger, mix it together and I'm going to pour it over my chicken, which is in a dish. For extra flavour, I'm going to take the lemon, that I've squeezed and I'm just going to tuck that between the chicken breasts and bake that at the same time. So that is going to go into an oven at 190 degrees and a fan of 170 and I'm going to bake it for 30 to 35 minutes.
I'm going to take the chicken out of the oven. I'm going to plate it up onto a dish I've got ready and then I'm going to pour some sauce over the top and I'm going to garnish it with some chopped coriander. That's how to make honey glazed chicken.
