Ingredients

  • 25 g Japanese sencha green tea

Step 1: Warm The Cups

Fill up a Japanese teapot with hot water, and then pour this water into two or three cups depending on how many people are drinking the tea. Then pour more hot water into the teapot again to warm the teapot whilst you prepare the drinks.

Step 2: Brew The Sencha Tea

Pour hot water into the teapot with about 25 grams of Japanese sencha green tea inside, but make sure the water is only around 70 degrees Celsius. Leave this to infuse for about 40 - 50 seconds.

Step 3: Serve

Holding the teapot in the Japanese style, gently pour the tea into the cups.
