Step 1: You will need

  • 90 g packet of flavoured jelly
  • 90 g packet of a different flavoured jelly
  • 500 ml hot water
  • 500 ml cold water
  • 1 flat tray
  • 4 glass serving bowls
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 ladle
  • 1 large bowl

Step 2: Make the jelly

Pour the first packet of jelly powder into a large bowl and while whisking, add the hot water. Whisk until the powder has dissolved. Slowly add half of the cold water and whisk once more. Repeat exactly the same process with the second packet of jelly.

Step 3: Transfer the jelly

Generously ladle the jelly syrups into separate glass bowls.

Step 4: Chill

Place the jelly in the fridge and chill for 2-4 hours, or according to the instructions on the packet.

Step 5: Present and serve

Remove the jelly from the fridge when fully set and serve with cream or ice cream.

What has happened to the cheap jellies.Asda,Aldi,Lidle and probably many other stores have suddenly stopped selling under 20p jellies, filling their shelves with Hartleys over 35p packets. Have Hartleys bought out all the other companies.??
