Ingredients

  • 900 g lamb
  • 2 vegetable oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp cardamom seeds
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 110 ml natural yoghurt
  • 1 1/2 tsp tomato puree
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, chopped
  • 2 ground almonds
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 tsp fresh coriander

Method

Heat some oil in a pan, then add the lamb and seal it on all sides. Add the chopped onion, cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric, coriander seeds, chilli powder, yoghurt, tomato puree, water, ginger, chopped garlic and ground almonds. Mix everything together and simmer for about 45 minutes.

Serve with a little fresh coriander, rice and naan bread.
