Ingredients
- 1 tin of tomatoes, blended
- 2 onion, diced
- 1 garlic, diced
- 250 g beef mince
- tomato ketchup
- worcester sauce
- tabasco sauce
- 1 bread crumbs
- salt
- pepper
- parmesan
Method
Put a little olive oil in a saucepan and a little in a frying pan. Add 1 tbsp of chopped onion to each pan. After about thirty seconds add the garlic to the frying pan and the tomatoes to the saucepan. Cook down the tomatoes for about 10 minutes to make your simple tomato sauce.
After another 10-15 seconds remove the frying pan from the heat and pour the fried onion and garlic into a mixing bowl. Add beef mince, breadcrumbs, 1 tbsp of ketchup, a few shakes of Worcester sauce, a few shakes of Tabasco sauce, salt and pepper. Mix well with your hands and knead into a solid dough. Add a few more breadcrumbs, if you have to, to get the desired texture.
Roll the meat mixture into balls and brown them all over in the frying pan with a little more oil. Once browned, put them into your tomato sauce, mix well and simmer or bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes with the lid on.
Serve with a little parmesan cheese grated over the top.
