How To Make Mullet With Cream And Red Peppers

Step 1: Season the mullet and dust with flour
- 75 ml olive oil
- 180 g mullet (x4), cleaned and scaled
- 60 ml flour
- ½ onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 medium red peppers, roasted and finely chopped
- 5 medium mint leaves, chopped
- 45 ml lemon juice
- 4 sprigs thyme
- A pinch cayenne pepper
- 200 ml cream
- some salt and pepper, to taste
- 25 ml fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 non-stick frying pan
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 serving spoon
- 1 serving dish
- 1 spatula
- 1 kitchen paper towel
Step 2: Heat the olive oil
Next, put olive oil in the frying pan and heat over medium-high temperature.
Step 3: Fry the fish, drain, and transfer to a warm dish
When the oil is hot fry the fish for four to five minutes on each side, then drain it and transfer to a warm serving dish.
Step 4: Add the onions, garlic, and red pepper
Now, clean the pan and wipe it with a paper towel. Drizzle a little more olive oil into the frying pan, add the onion, the garlic and the red pepper and fry gently.
Step 5: Stir in the cayenne pepper, thyme, mint, lemon juice, and salt
When the onions are soft, stir in the cayenne pepper, thyme, mint, lemon juice and season with salt.
Step 6: Pour in the cream
Next, add the cream and bringing the sauce to a boil, allowing it to reduce slightly.
Step 7: Pour the sauce over the fish and serve
Finally, add the chopped parsley into the sauce. Now pour the creamy sauce over the fish and the dish is ready to serve.
