How To Make Peanut Butter Cookies
Step 1: Dry Ingredients
- ½ cups (120ml) sugar
- ½ cups (120ml) brown sugar, packed
- ½ cups (120ml) butter, room temperature
- ½ cups (120ml) peanut butter
- 1 egg
- ¾ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cups (310ml) all-purpose flour
- Mixing bowl
- Mixer or whisk
- Parchment paper
- Cookie sheet
- Plastic wrap
Step 2: Mix
In a large bowl, cream the butter, then add both sugars and cream until smooth. Mix in the peanut butter and the egg, and then stir in the flour mixture. That's it - that's your dough.
Step 3: Wait
Wrap your dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before you try to work with it. You'll know it's ready when it's firm to the touch.
Step 4: Roll
Roll the chilled dough into 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls, then place them onto a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. Leave about three inches between the cookies - they'll spread as they bake - and since they're peanut butter cookies, use a fork to flatten them and make criss-cross patterns on top.
Step 5: Bake
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees (190 C, Gas Mark 5). Bake your cookies about 9-11 minutes, until they turn a light brown color. Let them cool on the pan for a minute, and then move them to a cooling rack.

I've tried a recipe practically the exact same as this one and they were lovely cookies :) It's basically the same as mine so they should be fine!
