How To Make Pineapple Juice

Today, I'm going to show you how to make your own fresh pineapple juice at home. Obviously, pineapples are available anywhere nowadays, most grocers, supermarkets. The best way to check if your pineapple is ripe is just to pull out one of the leaves.

If they come out easy, you'll know that's fresh and ready to go. You're going to need a juicing machine, okay. Again, you can buy these from any high street stores or supermarkets or online.

Okay, so what you need to do is get your pineapple, lay it down on a flat surface, being careful not to cut yourself. Get your knife. You need to cut off the top.

If the pineapple is ripe, it should come off pretty easily. Okay, cut off the bottom. What you need to do then is you need to take off the sides.

Okay, you can't really juice this, I wouldn't advise it so you need to just take off the sides instead. Okay. So we've taken some of the peel off, we don't really need a whole pineapple, it does make a lot of juice depending on how much you want, okay.

So we're going to cut that in half, okay, the other side. What you will need to do is take out the eyes. Okay, so what we can do is just cut across on the diagonal, that way.

That will remove the eyes in a strip. You just keep doing that. Again, it's very hard for the juicer to juice them.

Okay. So, remove most of those if you can and then you'll also need to cut out the central core. Again, just careful not to cut yourself.

Okay, so that's that. Cut that into smaller pieces for the machine. Okay.

Right and that's ready to juice, okay. So what you need to do is make sure you have a jug at the front there. The juice comes out pretty instantly, and that you have a container at the back for the pulp.

Okay, so all you need to do is turn on your machine, put the pineapple at the top and press down. The pineapple's pretty soft so it should go through pretty quick there. Okay now, that's finished juicing.

You can just leave that for a few seconds just to let the extra bits of juice come out. Whilst you're doing that, you can get your cup ready. So I have one here.

You may also wish to get a small container to catch any bits that come out. Okay. Pour that in there okay.

Now, you can drink that on its own or you can add it to other juices to make a nice sort of fruity cocktail. And that's how you make pineapple juice. .
