How To Make Pink Frosting
Eloise from the Gourmet Cupcake Company in Essex shows you how to make a pretty pink frosting for topping cakes and cupcakes.

Ingredients
- 250 g butter, unsalted
- 500 g icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pink food paste colouring
Method
Place in the butter and icing sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer and mix on a low speed, to prevent the icing sugar from going everywhere. When the frosting starts to incorporate, turn the mixer up to a higher speed and mix for 3 minutes. Add the vanilla extract and mix through.
Place the icing in seperate bowl and add a small amount of paste colouring using a cocktail stick. Mix together and add more to achieve the colour you'd like.
