Oven Temperature:
200° c  -  390° f

Step 1: You will need

  • 400 g whole-wheat flour
  • 80 g oats
  • 200 g grated cheese
  • 160 g apple purée
  • 100 ml chicken stock or water
  • 20 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 dash apple cider vinegar
  • 1 knob butter
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 freezer bag
  • 1 rolling pin
  • some biscuit cutters
  • 1 baking tray

Step 2: Combine the ingredients

Add 400g whole-wheat flour
80g of porridge oats
100ml of chicken stock or water
20ml vegetable oil
160g apple purée
200g grated cheese

Mix well... and one egg.

Add a dash of cider vinegar to the mixture and stir well. Professional dog handlers use this to give dogs' coats a beautiful glossy sheen..

Mix well using your hands until the ingredients have combined to form a dough.

If you don't want to make a big batch of biscuits now, take as much as you need, place the rest in a freezer bag and freeze.

Step 3: The dough

Roll out the dough to the thickness you desire and cut out as many biscuits as you can being careful not to waste too much of the dough.

Step 4: Bake

Grease a baking tray with a little butter. Lay the biscuits on the tray and place in an oven that has been preheated to 200C. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 5: Cool

Remove the treats from the oven and allow them to cool at room temperature.
