The curry came out very good. Actually I am not a cook at all, I have never cooked in my life and following this video, I cooked fish using the same curry. It came up good...hence I did both Prawn and Fish curry at the same time...my friends appreciated it...Thanks for the menu and video, it served the purpose.

follow my mom's recipe -try cutting the onions in large cubes also add some chopped onion, dont chop the chilles but add them whole (or sliced halfway between) for the flaovr(u can use capsicum too). add some small cube of potatoes and peas. this will make it less hot and also give you a thicker gravy... guranteed to taste better than the video recipe.- himika (amihimi@gmail.com)

This made an excellent prawn curry, but wow the heat! We used two whole chillies as in the recipe but a half would have done. Nevertheless an excellent recipe which kept me coming back for more: alternated with large glasses of water.

Thank u sooo much. Nice recipe. I made some additions, such as adding 2 Tbls coconut milk let that simmer slowly then I added fish fillets cut up in big pieces. I cooked the fish first then added the shrimp/ prawns. Was delish.

Not sure if it was the chilles I used, but this curry was extremely hot. I'm a hot curry fan (I love vindaloo's and ceylons) but made this for the missus and it was just too hot. Green chillies and chilli powder probably pushed it over the edge. I had to add a tin of coconut milk to make it easier for her to take but even then she gave up and it brought me out in the sweats. Also I found it to be a little tasteless until I added some paste and the coconut milk.

anything tastes good if its full of fat, instead of swapping the water for coconut milk, why not just eat a block of lard?

What happened to the whole spices? Did they disolve, or were they fished out or crushed?

i just tried this . i ommited the tomato paste, as i dit not want too much acidity. and at the beginning when adding the oil i added butter just a tablespoon. One cup of water was added per the recepie, but also two tablespoons of coconut milk , that helps thicken the gravy. RAJ
