- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove chopped
- 1 cups (250ml) tinned kidney beans
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
Heat some oil in a frying pan, then add the chopped onion and the beans. Stir and mash the beans with your spatula.
When the beans are mushy add the garlic and some salt and pepper. Keep mixing as it cooks through. If your beans get too dry you can add a spot of water to them.
Add the thyme and mix again until the beans are hot and nicely mushed up.
Serve with Mexican food, or with any grilled meat.
