So, we're going to make some roasted salted cashew nuts. Obviously, you can buy those from the shops but it's cheaper to make them yourselves and they can also be tastier, I think. So, we're using a Fair Trade cashew nuts from Mozambique and first of all, we need to boil those in some salted water.

So, I've got two litres of water here which I've brought to the boil and I'm going to add 2 tablespoons of sea salt. Give that a little stir so that dissolves and then I'm going to add 300 grams of Fair Trade cashew nuts and then we're going to wait until the cashew nuts float to the surface of the water which should take a minute or two and then we're going to drain them. Most of these are starting to float to the surface of the water now so we're going to drain them and then we're going to take them out on some kitchen towel.

Get as much moisture off as you can and then we're going to tip them into a baking tray and then we're going to put them in an oven at 120 degrees for half an hour. So, we have those in there for about half an hours and then we're going to give them a stir and then put them back for another half an hour and then they'll be done. And they look perfect.

So these are delicious golden crunchy salted cashews. And once they've cooled down, you want to store them in an airtight container and if you put them in a nice jar like this, then they can really make as nice presents as well. There we are.

And that's how you make roasted salted cashews.
