How To Make Savoury Bread Pudding
This savoury bread pudding is filling, nutritious and cheap, perfect food for students or for a quick and easy family meal! Paul Mulvenna-Pegrum shows you how to make it in this step by step guide.

Ingredients
- 200 ml chicken stock
- 1 egg
- 500 g lamb mince
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic powder
- 1 basil
- salt
- pepper
- 1 white loaf, crusts removed
- 100 g unsalted butter
Method
Break an egg into the chicken stock and mix together.
Fry up the chopped onion, garlic powder, basil, mince, salt and pepper, until the meat has browned.
Lay the bread in a greased baking tray followed by the mince mixture; keep layering ending with a layer of mince. Then pour over the stock mixed with the egg.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 25-30 minutes.
Serve with mustard, tomato sauce, and capers.
