Step 1: You will need
- 150 g sesame seeds
- 75 g self-raising flour
- 45 g sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 mixer with flat beater attachment
- 1 large bowl
- 1 baking tray
- wax paper
- 1 brush
- 1 knife
Step 2: Combine the ingredients
Into the mixer bowl, add the sesame seeds, flour, sugar, salt, egg and oil. Blend slowly until well combined.
Step 3: Chill
Transfer the dough to a large bowl and put it in the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
Step 4: Preheat the oven
Set the oven to 180ºC (360ºF/ gas mark 4).
Step 5: Shape the dough
After approximately 1 hour, remove the dough from the fridge. On a flat working surface, mould and roll it into fingers. Keep them short as the mixture is fragile.
