How To Make Shrimp Fried Rice

Ingredients
- vegetable oil
- basmati rice, cooked and refreshed
- prawns, cooked
- garlic, chopped
- red onion, chopped
- soy sauce
- nasi goreng paste
- 1 egg
Method
To refresh the rice, run it under some cold water.
Heat some vegetable oil in a wok and add the chopped red onion. Cook on a medium heat for around a minute and add the garlic. Be careful not to brown them. Add around a tablespoon of nasi goreng paste and a drizzle of soy sauce and stir through. Break the egg into the pan and stir though the onions.
Add the cooked rice and stir through the other ingredients. Add the cooked prawns. If you are using raw prawns, fry these at the beginning with the onions. Season and add more nasi goreng paste for a spicier taste. You can also add chopped spring onions or peas at this point and heat through before serving.
