Step 1: You will need

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 6 boiled quail eggs, peeled and sliced
  • some sliced, peeled and pitted black olives
  • 1 roasting tray, lightly oiled
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 tray
  • some toothpicks

Step 2: Preheat the oven

Set the oven to 220°C.

Step 3: Season the meat

Into a mixing bowl, add the beef, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, ketchup, chilli sauce, and egg. Mix together thoroughly.

Step 4: Make the balls

Using your hands, form little eye-sized balls with the meat. Now, place them on the tray and repeat until all of the meat is used.

Step 5: Bake

Place the tray of meatballs in the oven for approximately 10-15 minutes.

When the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and place them on a tray. Dress them with a piece of sliced quail egg and a piece of sliced olive. Repeat until all of your meatballs have turned into ghoulish little eyeballs.
