Method

Place the icing sugar in a bowl and add a small amount of water. Mix together gently until you have the consistency you would like. Add more icing sugar or more water until you are happy with the result.

For coloured icing, add a small amount of food paste colouring and mix through.

Spread the icing on to your sugar cookies using a palette knife and leave to set. If you would like to add any sprinkles or toppings, add these while the icing is still wet so that they will set.
