How To Make Tasty Burgers

In this episode of Food Fest chef Jonny Marsh shows you how to make some very delicious burgers for a simple, cheap dinner. Get your friends round and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 500 g mince meat
  • 1 red onion
  • Handful of parsley
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Ketchup
  • 1 tsp English mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 buns
  • 1 small cos lettuce

Step 1: Make The Burgers

Chop the onion really finely and put it into a bowl with the mince, Worcester sauce, mustard, a good squeeze of ketchup, salt and pepper, and an egg and mix everything together.

Step 2: Cook The Patties

Heat a pan with a dash of olive oil. Make the meat into patties and add to the hot pan. Once the burgers have browned on both sides place them on a tray and cook them in an oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes until the juices run clear when you press the top. If you prefer a medium burger take them out when the juices are slightly pink.

Step 3: Assemble The Burgers

Cut your buns in half, then place a burger on each topped with a little lettuce and ketchup. You can add a little parsley for a bit more flavour.
