How To Make Twists In Hair

I'm going to show you a really simple way of making twists in hair. We're going to take sections through here. We take one section, about an inch by an inch, split that in half and you just cross over.

You do that all the way down the hair shaft and as you're going down, you can keep that loose or quite tight depending on what sort of look you want. If you keep it quite tight, you need to really keep the tension through there. But if it's quite loose, you just let it go a little bit.

Tend to go down about so you can just leave a little hair left on the bottom and then just to seal it, on this sort of hair, on afro hair, you can just twist it and it will stay. On Caucasian hair, it's not going to stay so you're going to need to use a hair tie and I'm going to use these small rubber hair ties. These are the ones that are safe to use because they won't break the hair, especially designed for putting into ponytails.
