Ingredients

  • vanilla buttercream
  • red food colouring

Method

Turn the frosting pink by adding red colouring to vanilla frosting, adding the colouring in half a teaspoon at a time.

While blending the colouring, the frosting can become grainy. If this happens, fold in a little more icing sugar and mix through until the frosting is of a more spreadable consistency.

If you would like to use natural ingredients to colour your frosting pink, add some pureed frozen strawberries or strawberry juice.
