How To Make Your Own Dog Face Mask
Woof Woof! In this step by step guide Corina Bona, professional prop and puppet maker, shows you how to make a paper dog mask.
You Will Need
- 1 paper plate
- coloured paper
- masking tape
- 1 marker pen
- pritt stick
- 1 stapler
- red paper
Draw the eyes on the back of the paper plate and cut them out.
To make the muzzle: fold a piece of paper in half, cut a semicircular shape into the bottom; unfold your paper and connect the two semicircular bits with pritt stick. When you feel it is securely stuck down, take the muzzle nose and tuck it into itself. Snip all the way around the muzzle at intervals to create flaps to stick it onto the mask; then stick it to the plate using pritt stick.
Tear squares of paper and stick them onto the mask for fur.
To make the ears: fold a piece of A4 paper in half and cut out an oval shape. Fold the two ears halfway down, then put some glue on the inside and on the back, and attach them to your head.
Paint the dog face any colour you like.
Draw on extra details with your pen, such as whiskers, a nose and eyebrows.
Make the tongue by folding a rectangle of red paper in half, and cutting a rounded edge at one end. Fold down the back of the tongue to create a flap, then glue it to the bottom of your mask.
