How To Manage Curly Hair

So, with this hair, and cause it's a gent, we want to keep it quite soft, quite manageable and quite wearable. He already has a slight curl in it, so to define that curl, I'm just going to use a little bit of volume active Kerastase mousse. So, I want to use quite a large amount, and you're working it from the roots to the ends, get body in the roots.

So, make sure you work it all through the hair. So, I'm going to use a diffuser. We're going to use it on medium heat and medium power.

So, I'm going to begin with the top just because you want to create as much volume as you can through the top, not to overpower the underneath. So, lifting it up with your hands, place it into the scrunch. Tilt the head if needed.

So you're going to try and not touch it so much, because that would create frizz. So keep checking with your hands that the heat of the dryer isn't too hot so you're not going to burn your head. Working in sections, just pulling slightly with your hand, dropping it back, that creates body.

So let the diffuser do the most of the work, keeping the curls inside, in the cold. So again, lifting the diffuser as high as possible to create body in the top, be sure not to over dry, to create frizz. So I'm just going to finish up with a little bit of serum, just going to scrunch it in.

And because it's a gent, I'm going to streak it back a little bit from the face, just to make it a little bit more rare, but natural looking. And this is how we create our look on curly hair today. .
