Can help colic, digestive disorders, nasal congestion. Fantastic for those in SCBU, helps development and can prevent these babies becoming withdrawn - lets them know that they are loved.... etc etc... spread the word

I agree with anon. Babies dont need massages. They dont need holding. Or kissing. You dont need to buy them toys. You dont need to make them laugh. They dont need encouragement. Infact why dont we just do the basics. Feed wash dump in cot or at nursery! X

I also firmly believe, if massagin holding patting rocking yr baby child gently doesn't come naturally when you pick him/her up, then maybe he/she is better off with a nursery or a nanny/child minda! Food for thought 4 anon. Sounds to me like yr trying to justify yr lack or yr partners or family etc of interaction contact with their child. Well where kids are concerned? Your 'wateva suits you at the time attitude' comes pretty much secondary. Infact is that you mum? X

(reply to the 23 year old anonymous man) the baby does that most likely because the baby isn't calm and is playing. it doesn't look like the baby wasn't liking it. it might shy away from the hands because they were getting to close but thats all.
