Do you sometimes get confused trying to measure certain items or cannot find the width of an item? Learn how to measure anything using this tutorial.
I am going to show you how to measure anything. What you are going to need is a tape measure. At one end, you have a hook which you can put over the piece you want to measure and on the other end, you have a locking device to hold it.
If I measure this, I will find that it is fifty-two and one half centimeters or twenty and three-quarter inches. I can also measure larger areas, same again to measure the top of this bench, I hook it over on one end and I can pull it straight across and read the other end. This is 165 centimeters or 65 inches.
You can also measure heights as well as widths. Place the tape on the floor, making sure it's firmly laid. You can also hold the tape to stop it from moving around.
Bring it to the top and lock it off. That measures thirty-seven and three-quarter inches or ninety-five and a half centimeters. We can also do internal measurements.
This time, the hook will be on the inside. Step back and you will see fifty-eight centimeters or twenty-two and three-quarter inches. You can apply this method to any article you wish to measure.
