How To Measure Your Head Size For A Custom Wig

Need to buy a custom wig and can't figure out your size? Here is how to do it, step-by-step.

Step 1:
-
Head Size Measurement
-
Welcome to Savvy Sheitel's. Today we're going to learn how to measure your head size so that you can get the most comfortable fit on your new wig.

Step 2:
-
Measure
-
First, you need a model. If you're going to be measuring yourself, I would suggest that you have a friend help you. You also need a soft tape measure, and make sure that you use the measurements which say "inches," and not "centimeters."
The first measurement you're going to be doing is a circumference. Take the tape measure, and you're going to be measuring all the way around your head, until the two sides of the tape measure meet up.
The next measurement is ear to ear. Take the tape measure, rest it on the top of your ear, and it should go all the way around until the other side of the ear.
Front to back, you want the tape measure to start at your hairline and to go all the way back to where the nape is. You don't want to go too low, because then it would be uncomfortable on your wig.

Step 3:

Wig Comfort
-
It's preferable to have your hair up, because when you're wearing a wig you're not going to be having your hair hanging out. The comfort of your wig is going to be determined by how accurate your measurements are. Thank you.
