How To Mod Your iPhone The Easy Way

Step 1: Find It

Boot up your computer, hit the 'net and find the latest version of Installer application for the iPhone by searching for "iPhone" and "Installer". (PC users may want to look for iBrickr instead.) Download it to your desktop. Warning: Modding your iPhone will void your warranties.

Step 2: Dock It

Make sure your iPhone is docked or otherwise connected to your computer.

Step 3: Run It

Click on the Installer logo on your desktop and let it do its thing. It might ask what version firmware you're using. If you don't know, search online for "iPhone firmware version" and remember, you're looking for a number like 1.0.2 or 1.1.1. Once you've determined it, choose your firmware version from the Intsaller list, and let the application take it from there. It will let you know when it's ready to go.

Step 4: Launch It

On your iPhone, you will now see an "Installer" icon. Confirm that you have a connection to the outside world (wi-fi or another network), touch the icon, and launch the application.
