How To Mow A Lawn
Everyone wants to have a beautiful, healthy green lawn. But not everyone knows how to keep their lawn looking it's best. With this short, helpful video, you'll learn how to properly mow your lawn to make it look great.
Hi. I'm Mike, and this is Dan, and we're from the Lawn Company. We have a wealth of experience in looking after lawns, large and small.
We're going to show you some handy tips on how to care for your lawn. I'm going to show you how to mow your lawn. It's very important to choose a lawn mower that is suitable for the size of the lawn you have.
The example we have here is a wheeled rotary lawn mower. It's very important to walk over the lawn area first to make sure there isn't any debris that could damage the mower, or harm someone should it fly from under the mower blades. The first task is to mow the headlands of the lawn, that is, make two passes around the edges of the lawn to allow you enough turning area when you're doing your big long stripes.
It's really important to ensure that you don't take off more than 25 percent of the growth during every mowing session. Always ensure that you mow the lawn weekly, too many people seem to think that they don't need to mow their lawn every week. That's completely wrong.
Also, make sure you alternate the direction of mowing every week. This makes sure you don't get the grass all growing in one direction. So if one week you mow it that way, mow it back the other way, and then the grasses will grow upright the way they're meant to.
And that's how you mow a lawn properly. .
