How To Ollie On A Skateboard

The ollie is the first and most important move to learn when you take up skateboarding - without it you can't perform any other trick! In this step by step guide professional skateboarder Nate Principato shows you how to do an ollie.

Step 1: Back Foot On Tail

Place your back foot on the middle of the tail.

Step 2: Front Foot Under Screws

Place your front foot just under the set of screws on the opposite side of your back foot

Step 3: Push Down And Jump

Push your back foot down on the tail and jump up at the same time.

Step 4: Slide Front Foot Up

Slide your front foot up so it whacks off the tail and makes your board even out. Place your feet so that you land on the screws of the board.

Step 5: Having Trouble?

If you're having trouble doing an Ollie the problem could be that you're not sliding your foot up or just getting it stuck on your board. You have to make sure you level out while your doing an Ollie and you'll land it.
