By following this Videojug film, you will be one step closer to spiritual enlightenment while learning how to open up chakras, ancient energy centres within your body.
Hello. In this video, I am going to tell you how you can open your chakras. We have 7 main chakras; there are smaller ones on the body, but the ones we are going to concentrate on today are the main seven areas of your body where these energy centres are.
Chakra is a word that comes from Sanskrit. It actually means "spinning wheel" and the spinning wheels of energy of our body are in these places - the top of your head, the centre of your forehead, your throat, your heart, your abdomen, your lower belly, and your root chakra which is in the pelvic area. These all have different colours, and they are as follows: white, indigo blue which is like a purple-blue amethyst colour, turquoise, the heart is green - most people think of the heart as being a pink colour but the actual colour of the chakra in the heart is green, in the abdomen, we have yellow, and this is where all our intuition takes place, the lower body in the belly area here is orange, and the root chakra is red.
I usually tell people to open their chakras in a meditation by visualizing that each of the chakras down the body is a closed bud on a flower. So, first of all, when you're meditating, you visualize yourself opening the crown chakra first of all. This is the one on top of your head.
Open it up as a flower, bud by bud, and visualize that there's a bright white light shining out from the centre of the chakra. Then take your attention to the middle of your forehead. Here, we have our third eye, but for now, we're going to visualize like a bud or a flower that's closed up.
Open this, petal by petal, and allow the light to shine out from the centre of the flower. This will be a beautiful amethyst or an indigo blue colour. Let that shine out into the room with the white light.
And then, you take your attention down to your throat area, and this is turquoise. So, again, we have a flower here that's in bud and open each petal one at a time, allowing this beautiful turquoise light to shine out from the throat area and from the flowering bud. You move down to your heart area and here, you have a lovely green flower.
It's tightly closed, a beautiful pale green colour. Open up this flower, petal by petal until it's open, and after the centre of this flower is a lovely pale green light. And again, visualize this shining out into the room.
If you take your attention into your abdomen and your solar plexus area, this is the area where we hold so much tension and stress. When we feel anxious, this is the part of our body that seems to suffer the most. So, we're going to open up, this beautiful yellow flower here, really loosen it up and open it up and allow the yellow light to shine out into the room.
You then move down to the lower belly and the sacral chakra. This is orange in colour, so visualize an orange bud that opens up, petal by petal, and let the orange light shine out into the room. We are now going to move to the base or the root chakra, which is in our genital area.
It's the one that we hold a lot of anxiety and anger. And this is a red flower, a beautiful deep red flower. So, open up each of these petals and let this red light shine out into the room.
When you have opened up all your chakras, just visualize them shining their light into the room like a strand of jewels all the way down your body, and out your back, and surrounding you with their colour. This opens them up and allows you to work spiritually and also to make sure that they're clean, and they're spinning in the right way. When you're finished doing your spiritual work or meditation, make sure that each of these chakras is shut and closed, so you just need to reverse the process that you've done to open them up.
Close each flower down, and allow the light to go out, making sure especially that the crown one on the top of your head is completely closed. If you wish, you may leave the one in the centre of your heart open just very slightly. And that is how yo
