Some of you are confusing chlorine bleach with oxygen bleach. Chlorine based bleach, such as "Clorox" are the ones you want to avoid. They are made with sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and tend to produce nasty byproducts (such as dioxin) when used in industrial processes. Oxygen bleaches (such as hydrogen peroxide) on the other hand are very safe (you can rinse your mouth with hydrogen peroxide.) Not all chemicals are sinister simply because they have technical names. Afterall, the citric acid in lemon juice does EXACTLY the same thing as hydrogen peroxide to whiten your laundry - it oxidizes it! Get off your organic high horse and learn something.
