How To Oven Bbq Chicken
In this easy to follow recipe Chef Bernard Mintz shows you how to make a tasty baked chicken dish cooked in a ginger and garlic barbecue sauce. This sauce can also be used on pork belly or ribs and cooked on the barbecue.

Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs/breasts
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tbsp chopped, crushed garlic
- 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
Step 1: Make The BBQ Marinade
Add 3 tbsp honey and 1 tbsp vinegar to a bowl. De-bone your chicken and add to a tin. Slice and crush 1 tbsp of ginger. Add 1 tbsp of chopped, crushed garlic. Add 3 tbsp of tomato ketchup and 2 tbsp dark soy sauce. Add the zest and juice of half a lemon. Stir well.
Step 2: Cook The Chicken
Pour the sauce over the chicken add to the oven 180C for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked all the way through. Plate the chicken on a plate, pour the BBQ sauce over the chicken and serve.
