If you take it to a proper paint shop, which does bikes you will find it electrically charged the paints so it sticks hard on to the frame and it doesn't chip very easily like the factory finished job organized by nature. The other way is, a lot of people who does like that will not get such a professional finish and also you have the lacquering at least two or three times, make it harder but will still chip relatively easily specially compared to like a factory one.
