How To Paint Baseboards

I'm now going to show you how to paint baseboard or skirting board. Firstly, rub it down. After you have rubbed it down, you dust it off with a dust brush to remove dust particles.

You then use a rag with some white spirit on, give that a wipe over. This will remove any more, further dust or grease for painting. Don't put too much paint on the brush.

When you lift it up, you don't want it pouring off the end. Start from the top edge. Just run the brush along the top edge, then work your way down to the masking tape, brushing along the grain so you're following one direction.

When you're happy that you've got enough paint and it's in a nice even finish, just finish it off with one brush stroke. Carry on cutting your top edge and work down to your masking tape. When it's nice and even, lay it off in one direction.
