I am now going to show you how to paint over paneling. Firstly, I will put some masking type along the bottom edge so we don't get any paints on the floor. Play down a dust sheet that stops any splashes.

In preparation to the surface, I will rub the surface down with sand wiper. Over way along, getting into the edges, so you get the edges done, too. I have dusted everything off with a dusting brush to remove all the dust particles remained, and then I will finish off with a wipe with a white spirit on.

Wipe over the whole surface; this will remove any extra dust and also any greases around. And now, we are ready for painting. Start from one end, I will start from the grove first, fill the grove in, working all the way down not too much paint on these groves but enough to cover, when you worked all the way down, finish off lay the brush upwards .

Fill in the whole panel next to it same technique brushing it in, not putting too much paint on, put it on so it is totally even, lay off upwards. Brush into the bottom. When you are happy, that is nice and even, lay off upwards and work away to the grove.

Brush that in. One more reason in doing one panel at a time is to keep wet edge along here, brush it all in, nice and even, and always lay of upwards when you finished. And that's how to paint over paneling. .
