I'm now going to show you how to paint wood panelling. Firstly, I've put masking tape along the bottom edge on the floor so you don't get any paint on the floor. Lay down a dust sheet; that stops any splashes.

I then rub down each panel, rubbing down in between all the grooves. I then dust off, using a dusting brush just to remove all the dust, get a rag with a bit of white spirit on it wipe each panel and that will remove any extra dust or grease. Now, we're ready for painting.

Firstly, brush in the grooves, not too much paint on the grooves. If you put too much paint in, there is a tendency for them to run. When you're happy that's nice and even, lay off upwards.

You would use the same technique on timber panelling that's been painted before or even new panelling. Work your way to the next panel onto the grooves, not too much paint, lay off upwards when you've filled it in, back to the top of panel, laying off upwards when it's nice and even. Lay off when you're finished, and that's how to paint wood panelling. .
