How To Perform The Alternating Back Card Trick
Perform the Alternating Back Card Trick. Learn how to do this simple card trick from magician Christian Lee. It's bound to be a hit down the pub.
Step 1: You will need
- 2 playing cards
- a little magical know-how
Step 2: The trick
Take one card in each hand and hold them facing each other so the backs are facing outwards. Blow on them and they have flipped around. Magic! Or is it? No.
Step 3: How it's done
Hold each card at the edges between your thumb and middle finger. Then blow on the cards for magical effect. This also distracts your audience from what you're really doing.
What you're really doing is clamping one hand around the edges of the card in the opposite hand. As you blow, bring one card over the other so that they swap places.
Repeat the same action to return the cards to their original positions.
It has to be quick enough to go unnoticed by your audience. Once you've got it just right, try impressing the ladies.
