How To Perform Trampoline Skills

Once you know the basic bounce you can start to learn some moves! In this step by step guide Vinni Kutwaroo, coach at Ace of Clubs Trampolining, shows you how to do the pike, the tuck, the straddle, back bounces and front bounces.

Top Tips

  • For the tuck jump the knees come up to the chest, the toes stay pointed, and the arms are lifted up, then down.
  • In the pike jump both your legs are pointed straight out in front of you, and kept tightly together.
  • The straddle is a reach for your toes in the air with your legs apart.
  • When you twist you stretch your arms up in the air and twist around with your shoulders.
  • With a seat drop, keep your hands at your sides as you sit on the trampoline bed.
  • With a front drop, start by practicing on your hands and knees, stretching your elbows in front of you and holding your chin up; once you have mastered this you can try it from standing.
  • With a back landing, hold your legs and arms in the air and land on your back. Back bouncing is the same move, staying on your back and kicking your legs in the air to bounce.
