In this video, we're going to talk about how to pick a surfboard wave. So, firstly, the quality of the wave that we catch is always going to give us a better ride. So, it's a really good topic first off.

Okay. You don't want to catch waves which the whole wave at the same time is all going to break at once. Okay.

This wave is called a close out. You can talk to any surfer. We never want to catch a closeout wave.

Okay. What we want to do is catch a wave which comes in a line, but it will actually peak at one section and then it will break all the way along, but in rhythm, yeah. So, it breaks here and it will break all the way along.

This is giving us a surf-able wave. It's giving us a good wave to be able to surf on. If the whole wave breaks at once, it's a closeout.

We can't do anything with it. Okay. So, I'm just going to draw you a few little diagrams in regards to which waves to catch.

If you've got a wave, this wave all breaks at the same time. Okay. That's what we don't want.

If the wave starts to break in like that, it carries on at that speed. This has given us a wave to start surfing. Okay.

So, that is really how to pick a surfable wave.
