Step 1: Sterilize your Jars
Place your Kilner jars in boiling water to ensure they are sterilized.
Step 2: Cook the Beetroots
Add your unpeeled beetroots to a pan filled with water. Add some vinegar, place on the hob and bring to the boil. Cook for about 35 minutes. Remove and peel your beetroots. Add to a Kilner jar.
Step 3: Make the Pickling Liquid
Add some vinegar to a pan along with 6 tbsp of sugar. Place on the hob and heat on a medium heat until hot. Pour the mixture into the Kilner jar along with the beetroot. Leave on a shelf for 3 months and you'll be left with beautiful pickled beetroot ready to serve.
