How To Pickle Beets
When you find yourself complaining that pickles aren't as good as they used to be, it's time to make your own! In this tutorial Matt from the Underground Cookery School takes you through the the process of making your own pickled beets or beetroot.

Ingredients
- pickling vinegar
- pickling spice
- boiled beetroot
Method
Pour you pickling vinegar into a large pot, then add a third of a jar of pickling spices.
Bring the vinegar up to the boil, the drain to remove the spices.
Take your pickling jar which has been boiled in water to sterilise it, and add all your cooked beetroot. Add a little extra pickling spice, then pour in your liquid.
Wait until the liquid is cool before closing the lids.
