- 1 bulb of garlic
- 1 cups (250ml) vinegar
- 1 sugar
Heat a pickling jar in the oven for 5 minutes, or soak in boiling water for 30 minutes to sterilise it.
Gently press down on your garlic cloves to break their skins, then peel the cloves, keeping them whole.
To make you vinegar solution, heat your vinegar in a pan with 1 tbsp of sugar per cup of vinegar.
Cook the garlic cloves in the solution for 5 minutes, then pour into your jar, add some chunks of ginger and leave for 2 weeks.
