Step 1: How to pitch the Laser Competition:
How to pitch the Laser Competition. Start by unpacking the bag. You should have one pole, twelve pegs, and a pole hood with the flysheet inner and carbon fibre uprights coming as one. Start by assembling the pole, making sure the joints are properly located. The end of the pole sleeve has a reflective trim for easy identification. So you then need to thread the pole through the pole sleeve. Once you've done this, insert the pole foot into the eyelet on a pullout tab that you can see here. And do the same with the other end of the pole. Next you need to peg out the inner cord and the bottom flysheet elastic using the same peg. Insert the peg into the ground at forty-five degrees. Do the same at the other end and make sure that the center pole is upright.
Step 2: Peg out the top guyline.
Peg out the top guyline and ensure that the top of the carbon fiber rod is leaning out slightly. Do the same at the other end. To tension the inner, tighten the tape making sure the rod still leans outwards. Finally, peg out the remaining flysheet and inner elastics.
Step 3: Thread cords and secure.
The optional pole hood provides a water-proof cover for the center seam, and if tensioned, extra stability in adverse weather. To attach it to the tent, thread the cords through the tape loop near the pole foot and secure in a knot.
Step 4: Securing the pole:
Pull the hood over the tent and secure at the back in the same way. To secure the pole hood over the seams, use the loops and ties provided.
Step 5: Double up inner & flysheet elastics.
If guying out the pole hood, you'll first need to double up the rear inner and flysheet elastics onto one peg, freeing up two pegs for you to use.
Step 6: Done.
A loop on the inner and toggle on the flysheet hold the door open. The door can be shortened again using the velcro patches on the hem. Your tent is now ready for you to use.
