How To Plait Hair

Hi, and welcome to the Braiding Lounge Academy. My name's Lauralyn and we're going to be demonstrating some techniques on different hairstyles today on Afro hair and European hair. Okay, now I'm going to show you how to do a plait in natural hair.

Two free strands, I've taken the outside strand every time I'm going over the middle strand or alternatively, taken the outside strand in going underneath the middle strand. Either each way, this is what you call a single braid in natural hair. That is how you do a plait in natural hair.
