Ever wanted to plan a birthday party? Follow these tips on how to give the best birthday party ever!
Hi, my name is Amy and I am a wedding and event planner. I have planned events mainly specializing in weddings. However, I have planned events from Christmas to corporate, and I'm going to give you some tips that I hope will help for you to plan events in the future.
I'm going to talk about how to plan a birthday party. One of the first things you need to consider is the age group that the birthday party is going to be, for as some venues that will be very cautious of taking birthday parties for age groups around the turning of age for drinking, as they will expect that to be some guests that will not be drinking and some guests that will be allowed to drink, so they may be cautious of this maybe better to organize this kind of events at your house where you can control the alcohol consumption. Also, you might want to organize a theme for the party, you may want to organize something so the guests can dress up and create a fancy dress theme for everyone to attend to.
If somebody was born in the 80's, you might want to organize that everybody dresses up as that theme, you may want to organize a theme of what everybody wanted to be when they grow up and incorporate the decorations and everything into that theme. You will need to organize a birthday cake, which again you can have a birthday cake made up to the theme of the fancy dress if this is the way that you are going to be doing it. If there are younger children, you might want to organize party games and party bags for the children to take away.
Remember to make sure that you are planning the party around the age group that you are going to have attending. You might want to organize sweets and various foods. If it's an older celebration, you might want to organize a sitdown meal rather than finger food and a buffet.
You will also need to organize decorations, so this could be table confetti, could be balloons depending on how you want to decorate the venue if you want to go more childish, or if you want to be more sophisticated, if it is for an older age group. I hope this helped you on planning a birthday party!.
