Hi, my name is Amy and I am Wedding and Event planner. I have planned events mainly specialising in weddings, however I have planned events from Christmas to corporate. And I am going to give you some tips that I hope would help for you plan events in future.
Hi, I am going to talk to you about how to plan a children's birthday party. First of all, you need to consider the age group that you are going to organise the party for. Obviously, depending on the age will depend on what you would want to do.
For younger children, it will need to be a lot more child friendly than for old generations. You may be able to organise like a bowling party or going to the cinema or going for an activity day out, possibly to a theme park. You will need to organise for a cake but if you are going to have a theme for the day, you might want to incorporate the theme into the cake.
A lot of cake makers would incorporate the theme into the cake making. For example, if it is for young girl, you could organise to have a doll cake. If it is a boy, you might want to organise may be a superhero theme.
A good idea to organise is plenty of sweet and picky food for people to eat. Most of the times, children won't want to sit down to have a formal food. So something that they can continue to pick on whilst they are playing and doing different activities throughout the day.
It's a good idea to keep them going. You might want to organise party bands which the children can take with them when they leave, it a little, kind of, going away present for coming. We will need to also organise decorations.
So balloons, you could organise party poppers, streamers, different ideas like that can be incorporated into it. A lot of companies that you would buy these from, would do different themes, so again you can incorporate a theme into this. You might want to think if you want to bring in an entertainer, you could get something like a clown or a magician.
You could organise for a petting zoo to come, so that the children can have something little bit different than a traditional party. You will also need to organise some games, so depending on the age group will depend on the games that you could do. But things like a pass-the-parcel are always a good idea.
But make sure, even though you have the prizes for the winners, that you do have consolation prizes for the losers. Just so that there is no hard feelings for the children on that day. I hope that this has helped in planning you children's birthday party. .
